Solleh Aldzar Mohidin, Director of Consulting Services

Solleh Aldzar Mohidin has over 30 years of project financing and corporate finance experience, working with established elite consulting firms and corporate organizations specializing in project financing and financial planning. With his high value network and wide industry exposure, he has successfully provided invaluable financial and project management advisory services to a multi-facet group of clients locally and abroad allowing clients to benefit from his strategic foresight and approach in mitigating project risks associated with financial and commercial challenges. He has wide experience in dealing with project financing, the most recent being a PFI concept based on rated Islamic bond for a Dubai based Development Company.

While benefiting from foreign exposure, locally, he has been working closely with academic institutions providing advised on project financing and implementation. To date he has successfully assisted companies with more than MYR11.0 billion worth of projects. He thrives on his industry exposure allowing him to maximize his experience in a more dynamic and robust manner to address enterprise challenges.

Prior to associating himself with RSM/RKT Group of Companies, he has served in various capacities as Executive Director of a local automobile company managing its strategic corporate and financial planning in particular and was responsible for all commercial negotiations with its foreign counterpart. He dwells meticulously on operating procedures and processes resulting in strategic reporting to the stakeholders. Key to performance is strong Management Information Systems (MIS) allowing timely and strategic decisions to be made when needed most.

His cumulative skills and knowledge in commercial contract and finance allows him the acumen of financial and commercial contract negotiations directly in various capacities and winning businesses. As a result of his diligent attitude, he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of a public listed company entrusted with managing the key business driver of the group. In this capacity, adhering to corporate governance and compliance coupled with vast industry experience is the cornerstone of his management style. He advocated quantitative and qualitative approach to decision making in order to achieve key performance in particular where investments and financial exposure and decision are required.

His career in corporate finance work in the respective industries provides valuable experience in managing investments and assets under the group aspiring to stakeholders¡¯ wealth and expectations. In various capacities throughout his career, he has proven to be a team player striving for top results. This accumulated experience was garnered when he was appointed as Associate Director of the Financial Management and Business Advisory Division (FMBA) of Coopers & Lybrand in Malaysia. Here he was exposed to business process re-engineering (BPR), mergers and acquisitions, functional audits, benchmarking and GAP tools.

In his former capacity as Lead Consultant to the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, he has demonstrated his knowledge of financial consulting prior to joining Coopers & Lybrand. Here, he was tasked with reviewing the strategic corporate plans of the stock exchange and put-in-place an MIS and surveillance system to monitor daily market trading performance. At the same time, he strengthened his knowledge on drafting policies and legal financial investment framework. This core experience provides him with deep understanding of commercial law in respect of investments documents benefiting active shareholding participation.

In 1981, he began his career as an elite member of the Implementation & Coordination Team of the Corporate Finance and Planning Division of PETRONAS, the well respected national oil company of Malaysia. This was where he was mentally challenged to bridge the experience between deep knowledge and content to result driven implementation. Throughout his internship, he was tasked to oversee financial performance of both upstream and downstream projects ensuring profitability and shareholders wealth.
